WWE Survivor Series 2018

WWE Survivor Series 2018:  will host its 23rd edition of the Survivor Series on Sunday night (Monday morning for Indian viewers) from the Staples Center in LA. They have packed a powerful card for the viewers with two blockbuster matches headlining the show. For the first-time ever Daniel Bryan will take Brock Lesnar in a champion vs champion match. After Becky Lynch’s injury, Charlotte Flair will take her place in a one-on-one match with Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.

The match card was subject to some last-minute changes after Becky suffered a facial injury on Raw and had to pull out from her highly anticipated match against Ronda Rousey. She selected Charlotte Flair to replace her in the match. Charlotte and Ronda were rumoured to be the main event of next years WrestleMania but seems the plans have changed now.

WWE surprised everyone when Daniel Bryan ended AJ Styles 371-day WWE Championship reign on the last episode of SmackDown Live before Survivor Series. Another surprise was the heel turn from Bryan after the match. Brock has never faced Daniel Bryan before and the fans will be hoping it is not another 3-minute squash on Bryan. Another interesting aspect will be how WWE structures a heel vs heel match.

The other big matches will the traditional Survivor Series 5-on-5 matches. Braun Strowman negotiated a deal with Raw commissioner that if Team Raw wins then he gets another Universal Championship match. Braun will also get to face Baron Corbin in a match if Team Raw wins and also pick the stipulation.

Women’s Team for SmackDown still have a spot left after Charlotte had to leave the team to face Ronda Rousey. Her replacement hasn’t been announced and a surprise appearance is expected at Survivor Series.
